Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my page! I am Kim Yoder the author of the book Rainbow Paper and I am so excited that my book has brought you here! I am currently a college student at York College of Pennsylvania perusing my degree in Middle Level and Special Education. From my time at college, I have been fortunate enough to have ventured into many different school settings. I have been in rural, suburban, and urban schools that have shown me just how diverse our student population is. The one thing that I have consistently noticed, is that there is a severe lack of diverse children's books on the market. Knowing this, I took it upon myself to write one. I wanted to use my love of teaching and reading to write a book that I think most kids and teachers will love!

Rainbow Paper is meant to teach kids that not everyone looks or acts the same on the outside, but on the inside, we are all human. It is important to celebrate what makes us different from each other rather than tear each other down for it. I wrote this book with the hope that it will teach students to be more accepting of their peers and learn to love what makes them all different. I sincerely hope that you enjoy my book as much as I enjoyed writing it!
